1 IN 7 STUDENTS IS EITHER A BULLY OR BEEN VICTIMIZED BY ONE
PinkWall.ca is an online resource with downloads for parents and teachers, enabling them to begin the difficult discussions surrounding the issue of bullying, with kids of all ages. There is also a section for children who can download colouring pages. The most powerful aspect of the site is the Stand Up to Bullying Wall (right) a virtual Facebook wall where UPstanding visitors of all ages can either ‘like’ PinkWall.ca, sign their name, share a post with their FB friends, or even leave a message of hope or support on the virtual wall to show YOUR support for this worthwhile initiative.

Vancouver Island InsuranceCentres Inc, is actively involved in the Anti-Bullying Campaign and Pink T-Shirt Day (Feb 29 2012) and is founder of PinkWall.ca. For 2012, VIIC V has designed and ordered approximately 20,000 pink t-shirts, that will be distributed free of charge to school aged children on Vancouver Island. VIIC has also partnered with SunFM to make this year’s Anti-Bullying Campaign bigger and better – reaching more schools, more youth and more families on Vancouver Island than ever before.
VIIC has been insuring generations of islanders since 1863. With 14 branches, VIIC employees live, play and raise their families in the communities that they do business, so they take a very personal interest in important issues. SunFM (Central Vancouver Island) and JetFM (Comox Valley) are radio stations owned by Vista Radio. These stations have partnerewith VIIC sure people are talking about the Anti-Bullying Campaign.
Our goal is to make bullying an open topic of conversation in every classroom and around every family dinner table on Vancouver Island.
